Two and a half years later and now Captain of the Victoria Royals Joe Hicketts catches Brandon Baddock with a hip check during their Western Hockey League game on February 9, 2016 at the Save-on-Foods Memorial Centre.

Joe Hicketts scores Victoria’s second goal of the game lifting a backhand shot over the glove of an outstreched Edmonton Oil Kings goaltender Payton Lee. It was the first of seven unanswered goals the Royals would score en route to their 8-2 victory.

Joe Hicketts is named first star as the Victoria Royals beat the visiting Edmonton Oil Kings 8-2.
